Since Facebook has became big over the centuries it’s used more
now for business interactions and advertisements. When Facebook first came out or
when teens started to use it, the game changed it was more used for fun and
communicating with friends instead of using their phone data. Now it’s back to
being nothing more then for keeping in contact with family members and for
companies to meet and do business on. It’s even being used for companies to
find a good candidate to come work for them, and this change in Facebook use is
starting to scare competitors like job boards. “More companies
are trying to tap Facebook Inc.'s 750-million-plus user base to find new
employees, threatening traditional job boards and competing with LinkedIn
Corp., which has dominated the online professional networking arena.”( Job

Facebook has no control of in a way is that companies who are trying to fill
job positions the old fashion way is starting to crash because no one is using
the major sites that we use to go on. Some companies just decided to step out
the box and go for what most companies or particular employers are on for
simple things like emailing their loved ones. “Facebook's
use as a job-recruitment tool remains small, but its appeal may be growing.
Some recruiters say they have all but eliminated their spending on job boards,
which can charge a few hundred dollars per job posting, depending on volume.”( Job

they have made the right choice by following the young crowd or not even just
that, by thinking that since this generation is more technology you have to
keep up with the new sites and methods so that more people will spot what they
have going on. “Candidates have been 50% more
likely to apply to positions they found through Facebook than through other
means, said Mr. Staney. "[Job boards] just blast it out. This is much more
efficient and targeted," he said.”( Job Recruiters Turn to Facebook to
